Dangers of Relativism

In today’s hyper-individualistic culture, moral relativism—the belief that truth is subjective and varies from person to person—has subtly morphed into a form of spiritual custom-tailoring. Instead of conforming our lives to the unchanging nature of God, it becomes tempting to reshape Him to fit our personal lifestyles, preferences, and comfort zones. When objective truth is cast aside, the Almighty is often reduced to a cosmic sounding board who exists merely to validate our choices and never challenge our faults. This modern idolatry is dangerous precisely because it feels so comforting; it replaces the demanding, life-transforming reality of the Gospel with a cozy, toothless deity made in our own image.
